I use this light in the field and in the studio. I like how I can use the outlet in studio and especially how I can use my Panasonic batteries for power in the field. They pump out a lot of light in a very small package. The dimmer switch is extremely handy. The accessories also make it easy to articulate. Well worth the money.

Bought this to use with my HVX-200. The fact that you can throw 2 'camera' batteries on it, is a real plus. Two large panny batteries last all day. Works great as a on camera light for run and gun. Also, I have used it as a fill on interviews and it works well for that. Since it throws off very little (if any) heat, means you can put it very close to your subject. My only complaint (minor one) is that the case is cheap. I bought a small pelican case for it. Overall, it's a great light and it is worth the money
