The Easyrig Turtle-X camera support is a cost effective system designe for HDV handheld video cameras. Ergonomically designed, the Easyrig reduces the static load on the neck and shoulder muscles, and distributes it to other parts of the body which are more capable of handling it.
The Easyrig Turtle-X gives you the speed and mobility of a handheld camera, while still achieving steady shots from the shoulder, the hip or knee level.
The Easyrig is ideal for news broadcasts, sport events, documentaries, commercials or any other handheld situations where stability is crucial and freedom to move is essential

Comments about Easyrig Turtle-X Camera Support:
I use this rig for many long time handheld situations, where I do not know what action will occur and where and when the important situations will take place. With this rig I do not get tired and my hands do not start to shake even after very long shooting of, for instanced, children moving around i different settings over an unknown span of time. Whatever and whenever, the cameraman can shoot steady images for as long as it takes. Without the rig, you just can't hold the camera handheld for very long, unless you find somewhere to rest or support the camera. It is not a steadicam but can do walking shots fairly OK. It can be pushed down to low angle and lifted up to your head hight whilst shooting.
Comments about Easyrig Turtle-X Camera Support:
Simply put this is a rope on a spring that pulls your cameraup. Not bad as long as you hold the camera at the same levelas the default setting. However if you want to make anything lower or higher you runinto its major flaw: Its just a rope on a spring. In otherwords, anything lower then the default setting (adjustableinside the backback with a big knob) you have to pull hard, anything above the default setting: your holding the cameraup as usual with nothing to pick up the slack. It did look like the perfect marriage between shouldermounted and the freedom of the handycam generation. If theyactually bothered to make it a bit more advanced then just ahollow tube with a rope I would have appreciated thetech-know-how behind it. But this is such a basic piece ofkitt I think its grossly overpriced.
