The Sony HKSR-5001 is a conversion board for the SRW line of VTRs. The board grants the deck ability to convert HDCAM and HDCAM SR, to a wide variety of frame rates, resolutions, and color bit rates. Features include changing HDCAM SR full color sources to 4:2:2 compressed HDCAM as well as converting 1080i to 720p. This board adds a tremendous amount of versatility to these high-end decks, while being far more cost effective than purchasing an entire new unit.
