Extreme IV memory cards feature innovative ESP (Enhanced Super-Parallel Processing) technology and utilize the UDMA (Ultra Direct Memory Access) Standard which involves a process by which data can be moved from a storage device very efficiently, without laboring the host device's processor. Cards that utilize the UDMA standard provide high performance rated at 40 MB/s (266x), and are only compatible with camera that are UDMA compliant.
