I have three of these systems at home, and one at work. After listening to my first Companion 3 speaker system, I bought another for the living room entertainment center, requested a system for work at the TV station, and got a fourth for my Mac at home. Superb sound from a small package. Incredible detail in every soundtrack I use when editing. I understand they are a little pricy, but you'll find they are truly worth the money spent.

I bought this for my husbands PC for Christmas. The sound and quality is awesome. I reccomend this to anyone who are gamers or just listens to a lot of music on their PC.

I could probably never rate anything Bose makes less than a 5, and the Companion 3 Series II is no exception. I got one of these for my son, and the gaming from his PC was so earth shattering that my husband and daughter got jealous and wanted a set each as well. My daughter loves the fact that with the control pod you can connect your headphones right from the desktop. The bass from the small sub is surprisingly deep and rich, but by no means muffled, and this without sacrificing any sound from the satellites. But I shouldn't have been surprised since it's a Bose product. Listen to this with your eyes closed and you'd swear you had at least a 5.1 surround system. All this quality without breaking the bank. Coming from Bose, that IS surprising.

It was time to move up to Bose! The best sound, sub woofer and over-all construction on the market. I do a lot of movies through iMovie and can't wait to add the music. The sound on playback is just incredible. The rich bass tones coupled with sharp treble and wonderful mid-tones makes the whole experience a pleasure. Yes, a friend would surely make the right decision by honoring your recommendation!

I am using this sound system in Mac based multimedia production studio. The sound is crisp without outstanding clarity. The design is top notch and results in comments by my visitors. The volume and mute "puck" is a very nice touch and very practical. Setup is easy. As usual Bose produces a quality product. I feel the price is fair as the sound quality is superior to lower priced systems. I may even purchase a 2nd system for the TV.

Well first of all, let me say this. I am very satisfied with this purchase. If I could easily get my money back and make another purchase of anything else on the market, I wouldn't. I smile everytime I realize how much sonic power I have sitting on my desk in two little squares... (and one larger but invisible rectangle).

My background is in audio. I work with very high end sound recording and equipment. Pro Tools, Cubase, Yamaha, Korg, Roland, Access, Ableton, Traktor, Maschine, Spectrasonics, Omnisphere, Reason, Mackie Monitors, etc...

Well, these little things simply do not disappoint. But, in my opinion they produce way too much bass at the medium bass setting. I have to go to about 20% to 30% (about half way between the lowest and medium setting on the subwoofer). To comfortably listen to bass drums and bass sounds. Otherwise they are simply overwhelming. I understand speaker placement and acoustics have something to do with this, but it is still too much bass.

But I'm still very happy, I almost feel like something is wrong with my subwoofer... but let it be known that the bass never distorts or anything. But the frequencies are very low. Almost too low. Am I unhappy? Well, lets just say that I haven't seen a better pair of computer speakers, and I am very happy with the Companion 3 Series II. I'm just making suggestions to Bose to "sharpen their blade." Everything can be improved, even sound, but they still did an amazing job! I love my speakers...

i use in my studio, listening music while i am editing my photos.

the bass so DEEP, the mid range is CLEAR, the treble is CRISP.

already tried jbl, harmankardon, altec, but nothing like BOSE.

the sound controller is beautiful with soft touch to mute.

i dont have any complain about this, and the price is proper.

I used in my Work Space to listening my Ipnone and Laptop Mac. The quality of the sound is great and the clarity of the music is wonderfull.
The most important think is that the sound cames out for this 2 littles speaker with a perfect Bass combination.

Amazing sound. Great how small the speakers are so they don't take up space. I can't even use the sub woofer that often cause it's so powerful that my neighbors will get irritated - that's how amazing it is, so i just turn down the dial most times but when i want to pump it it's amazing and when i want to listen to subtle beautiful music it picks up the nuances so well. Totally great buy.
