This case has a lot of storage and is completely modular inside which allows for great versatility. But I do have three main compaints with it.
I travel quite frequently and take this bag with me on planes. There is no way it would fit on a small regional aircraft and it would even be tight on a 737 (Southwest's entire fleet).
The tripod straps are a nice idea but the buckles come loose and I find myself constantly re-tightening them.
Lastly the colapsable tow handle is about 4 inches too short for me, keeping in mind that I am 6'2". I have to lean way over to tow it around with the handle fully extended which is very annoying.
I pack a lot of equipment inside of it though and for that it is really useful. I have a sony alpha body with two normal size lenses. Laptop hard drives, a small GPS, flash card reader, cables and laptop charger, battery charger for camera, tripod head, 77mm lens hood, various filters, laptop, full size organizer, medication, ipod, full size head phones, and other items. It all fits but just barely.

Comments about Pelican PCS-247 RSV Wheeled Upright Camera/Computer Case (Black with Gray Interior):
I'm a professional photographer that constantly has to fly interstate for my jobs.
As I am only small in frame being able to wheel it through the airport with ease is great. No breaking my back carrying a backpack which I have done in the past. I really like the idea that it doesn't look like a camera bag, it could have anything from my pj's in it to on looking eyes.
The only thing I feel it needs is straps that go around the whole case to pull it in a bit. It is a great size for carry on but as soon as you put gear and a laptop in it, it adds a few extra cm. If it had straps like my backpack did you would be able to squash it down a bit bringing it back to carry on standards.

Comments about Pelican PCS-247 RSV Wheeled Upright Camera/Computer Case (Black with Gray Interior):
I use case for my camera equipment. It is more professional looking than the shouler bag I disposed of. My only regret is that I discovered that I needed a bigger case after I loaded the case and still had parts left over.

Comments about Pelican PCS-247 RSV Wheeled Upright Camera/Computer Case (Black with Gray Interior):
I've been a happy owner of a different, slightly bigger model of Pelican rolling case (one that comes with a detatchable laptop case) for a few years. I loved my old case (very durable practical for travels; and I've been using it mostly on longer road trips or on houseboat vacations and also to simply store my equipment at home). But I've accumulated so many accessories, that I decided I'd get a second case. This one seemed to be most reasonable choice (reasonably priced and I didn't need a second, separate laptop bag).
In comparison to my old bag, this one seems a little worse quality. There's quite a difference in how the material looks (this one looks more like a cheaper, department store luggage bag, while my old one has nicer, "upper shelf" feel). The interior wasn't gray, but blue. (I'm not too picky, so it was ok - but my 2 Pelican cases certainly don't look like a set). Nevertheless, the material is still good, protective and still seems quite durable. Padding is quite thick and allows for good allocation of the equipment inside. And there are plenty of pockets for storing small accessories (like batteries, flash stands, small brackets, memory cards, cables, manuals, cleaning solutions...)
I'd be probably cautious using the laptop pocket (It does not detach and since it's on the top of the case, without much protection on top of it, I'd be concerned that it might get damaged). But again - it wasn't an important feature for me.
Overall, the case is good quality, comfortable to use and store / transport photo equipment.

This is a great product! I am a professional wedding photographer and needed a good carry-on rolling case for when I travel. It fits two full frame DSLRs two flashes, 70-200 lens, several other lenses, batteries, a laptop and many other accessories. I have used it several times and it is very durable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Comments about Pelican PCS-247 RSV Wheeled Upright Camera/Computer Case (Black with Gray Interior):
The most amazing camera case ever. It has a lift out tray that comes with adjustable dividers for all kinds of equipment. There are also pockets galore, and a padded laptop compartment. This is my second one, because my wife kept taking out the camera tray and stealing it for her frequent business trips. And it is on wheels, which is a back saver. It is just the right size, and the newer models come with this nice blue interior (black on the outside). There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Comments about Pelican PCS-247 RSV Wheeled Upright Camera/Computer Case (Black with Gray Interior):
This is a great way to keep everything all in one place AND have it all together on each photo shoot. It's a little heavy, but the wheels make it very workable. It would be rough out in the "wilderness," but for average portrait photo shoots, it's the greatest!

Could hold 1DsMk3 w/ 24-70 attached, 70-200 f/4, 16-35 w/ hood, plus my Mamiya 7II and 2 lenses, plus filters, film, angle finder, etc., but I just couldn't zip it closed with the large digital camera and L-bracket. A shame, because otherwise it's a perfect size. The interior needs to be about 0.5" to 1.0" deeper.

I use this case for air travel and for on site commercial location shooting. It keeps all the equipment organized and readily accessible. It is rugged and light weight. It holds a fare about of gear AND still fits airline regs for carry-on luggage.

Comments about Pelican PCS-247 RSV Wheeled Upright Camera/Computer Case (Black with Gray Interior):
I bought this item to carry both digital SLR and medium format gear, based on the product description suggesting it had two 5" deep removable sections. The case is very well made and would be great for someone hauling only 35mm and/or digital gear. Unfortunately one of the two removable sections is for laptops only, not additional camera gear, so I could not adapt it to medium format plus digital as I'd hoped. With minor modifications this case could be extremely useful for a wider range of equipment.

Comments about Pelican PCS-247 RSV Wheeled Upright Camera/Computer Case (Black with Gray Interior):
This is a great little case, I use it to keep my gear safe in the trunk. It is definitely on the small side though, better for small SLRs like a Canon 5D without the vertical grip. It's not quite deep enough for my Canon Mark IIs.
