The Pelco MCS16-10S supplies 24-28 VAC power for up to sixteen standard CCD cameras, up to eight Pelco indoor Spectra (25 VA) systems and up to three Esprit (70 VA) pan and tilt systems. The extra four volts on each output compensates for long cable runs.
Each power output has its own power indicator LED light and power switch, allowing an operator to see power status at a glance and to quickly turn on or off any camera. This model uses a fuse system to protect cameras from a power overload. While this requires fuse replacement after each occurrence, by acting faster and being more precise, fuses provide a higher degree of protection in comparison to a circuit breaker system.
