Sigma 105 mm DG (Optimized for digital photography) Circular Polarizer - Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens.
They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.
Note! Linear polarizers are used with most video and manual focus photo cameras. They are not recommended for auto-focus SLR cameras.

Comments about Sigma 105 mm DG (Digital) Circular Polarizing Glass Filter:
A very good Polarizing filter for Digital Photography.
All Polarizing filters have moving parts, having a bit thicker rings. Therefore in most cases one needs much bigger filter than the actual thread on the wide angle lens, to avoid vignetting.
105mm with a low profile 82-105mm adapter works very well, covering very well the whole frame when used with 16mm wide angle lens.
A must for Canon 16-35mm zoom.
