Buffalo 800GB DriveStation Duo External Hard Drive Array
The 800GB DriveStation Duo External Hard Drive Array from Buffalo is a high-capacity external RAID that features two 7200rpm drives that can be striped together in a hardware RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration. It boasts an interface that allows it to be connected via FireWire-400 or USB 2.0. The drive is an excellent solution for digital imaging, data backup, or general storage applications.
- 800GB Capacity
- 800GB of capacity allows for storage of approximately 60 hours of uncompressed DV digital video, the equivalent of 170 4.7GB DVD video discs, or up to 200,000 MP3 files.
- RAID Capabilities
- The drive can be configured as a RAID 0 for full 800GB and fast data transfer. It can also be configured as a RAID 1 mirror, giving you half the data capacity and the security of real-time data mirroring.
- Memeo Backup Software
- The drive ships with Memeo AutoBackup software for Windows. This lets you easily backup important files, ensuring that they will be protected in the case of a drive failure.
- SATA Drives
- Buffalo exclusively uses 7200rpm SATA drives with large buffers in the DriveStation Duo, leaving no doubt that you will be receiving a quality drive in the enclosure.
