Bosch VIP10S2010 Single Channel Mid Range Video Encoder

The Bosch VIP10S2010 single channel video encoder is similar to the Bosch VIPX1A model except that it encodes at S-VHS quality compared to the DVD resolution available on the standard model. This unit accepts any NTSC or PAL security camera for transmitting video and audio over a network. Video is encoded into two separate streams allowing a user to transmit at high quality while recording at low quality or vice versa, depending on a particular application.

Video can be recorded to a local USB storage device for quick transfer or to any PC hard drive or DVR over the network. A single audio stream is encoded along with the video, and with the addition of a microphone and speaker, an operator can hear and speak with a person at the camera location. A number of alarm and relay sensors can be attached to trigger a visual and audible alarm and to activate devices such as locking and unlocking a door following an event.

Key Features

• Ultra Compact: Only the size of a cigarette packet, this encoder is easy to install in tight places even inside a small housing if necessary. When used in conjunction with a video decoder, data can be sent and received entirely over the network without the need for a PC. An optional rack mount kit is available for installing 5 of these units in a standard 19" rack.

• Dual Stream Video: Video is encoded in two separate streams, allowing a user to choose different quality levels for transmitting and recording, depending on a particular application.

• Bi-Directional Audio: By attaching an optional microphone and amplified speaker, two-way voice communication is possible between a person at the camera location and a PC user over the network.

• Alarm and Relay Connectors: Various sensors can be attached to trigger alarms or to activate devices like locking and unlocking a door following an event.

• PTZ Control: This unit is fully accessible from any PC on the network for viewing devices, changing parameters and operating the pan, tilt and zoom of PTZ dome cameras.

• Password Protection: This unit is protected from unauthorized users by a password authentication system with multi level access configuration.
