The Bosch VIP10E2011 single channel video decoder is similar to the Bosch VIPXD model except that it decodes at S-VHS quality compared to the DVD resolution available on the standard model. It also does not offer quad monitor viewing or a VGA output. This unit decodes a video stream coming from a network camera for viewing on a standard NTSC or PAL monitor. Video is decoded into two separate streams allowing a user to view at high quality while recording at low quality or vice versa, depending on a particular application.
Video can be recorded to a local USB storage device for quick transfer or to any PC hard drive or DVR over the network. A single audio stream is decoded along with video, and with the addition of a microphone and speaker, allows an operator to hear and speak with a person at the camera location. A number of alarm and relay sensors can be attached to trigger a visual and audible alarm and to activate devices such as locking and unlocking a door following an event.
