The Bosch PK81005 is a security package consisting of the LTC8100 8x2 matrix switcher and the LTC8555 keyboard controller. The switcher accepts up to 8 security cameras and features 2 video outputs for connecting to a monitor and recording device. Any camera can be selected for display on one or two monitors, either manually or by programming the unit for a wide range of switching sequences and dwell times.
The keyboard features an intuitive numeric button layout for quick and easy access to switching operations, programming and camera functions. A strategically located 8-position joystick offers smooth control over the various pan, tilt and zoom movements of motorized dome cameras. An on-board LED window, displays real time camera, monitor and communication status as well as any error messages. In the event of an alarm, the keyboard will sound an audible alert while displaying a visual indication of system conditions. The keyboard attaches to the switcher using the supplied 10 ft (3 m) RS-485 data/power sharing cable.
Switcher
- 8 Input 2 Output with Manual or Sequential Switching
- Accepts up to 8 cameras and features 2 video outputs. Any camera can be selected for display on one or both monitors. Switching between cameras can be done manually or by programming sequential dwell times for each camera. Up to 60 sequences can be programmed with each running independently in either a forward or reverse direction. A Salvo Switching feature allows any number of system monitors to switch as a group. When using optional software, sequences can be programmed to activate or deactivate on a date and time basis.
- Alarm Interface
- A built-in alarm interface used in conjunction with an external contact closure or logic level will automatically display a camera to a monitor or group of monitors in response to an alarm. Alarm event modes can be set to basic, auto-build, sequence and display. Optional software offers the ability to combine any or all of the three standard modes within the same system. At the event of an alarm, the monitor can be set to display the camera name or a 16 character defined alarm title.
- Satellite Switch for Accessing up to 256 Cameras
- When used in a Satellite Switch configuration, this unit can serve as a master switcher communicating with remotely located satellite systems. This allows the viewing and control of its own cameras in addition to any camera attached to a remotely distributed satellite switcher. In this way up to 256 cameras can be controlled by one unit.

- Intuitive Button Layout
- Features an intuitive button layout for accessing system switching operations, programming and alarm functions. These buttons are also used to control a camera's focus and iris levels.
- Joystick PTZ Control
- An 8-position joystick offers smooth maneuverability in operating the pan and tilt movements of both fixed and variable speed motorized dome cameras. Rotating the joystick knob will control the zoom functions of cameras equipped with a motorized zoom lens.
- LED Readout and Audible Alarm
- An easy to read LED, displays real time camera, monitor and communication status in addition to any error messages. At the event of an alarm, the keyboard can be programmed to sound an audible alert while displaying alarm information.
- Optional Long Range Operation
- This package includes a 10 ft (3 m) cable and supports keyboard to switcher distances of up to 100 ft (30 m) using an optional cable.
