The Bosch LTC8016/90 interfaces up to 16 AutoDome or Dinion cameras for Bilinx over-the-coax communication with any Allegiant series switcher. Bilinx gives a system administrator complete control from a remote location over a camera's pan, tilt and zoom functions as well as various programming operation using the standard coax video cable. This saves installation costs by eliminating the need to run separate control wiring. It is also a considerable time saver by offering camera recognition once connection is complete, without having to enter individual camera addresses. This unit installs in a standard 19" rack using the supplied mounting hardware.
Bilinx Saves Installation Costs and Time
Bilinx is Bosch's unique technology for sending bi-directional communication signals including PTZ control, programming and alarm functions to Bilinx enabled cameras over the standard video coaxial cable. This saves considerable cost by eliminating the need to purchase additional control cable. It also speeds up the installation process by configuring cameras automatically without having to enter AutoDome site addresses for individual cameras. Bilinx also supports the use of Bi-Phase generating products such as Bosch DVRs for control of PTZ functions and camera menu access over the video cable.
Up to 31 of these units can be cascaded together to control up to 496 Bilinx enabled cameras. Bilinx technology is not limited to a coaxial cable, but can also be used with fiber optic or CAT5 devices for transmitting bi-directional signals over great distances.
