A&I Black and White Develop Proof Sheet - Have your film developed and printed by a top company in California. All you need to do is drop your roll in this mailer and you'll receive a quality 8.5x11" proof sheet along with your 35mm or 120 negatives.
Unlike many contemporary labs that promise good prints the "old-fashioned" way but wind up producing computer-generated, sub-par images, A&I Labs still does it the traditional, chemical way. You'll receive a "real" contact sheet done as they've been done for years - with hands on assistance.
Note! Effective now: The Post Office has office declared a single roll of film sent from anywhere in the USA a parcel, requiring 3 first class stamps

Comments about A&I Develop + Proof Sheet Mailer for Black & White Film:
I have to pan this service for 2 main reasons.
1. A roll of film has not been returned
2. A call about that roll has not been answered by customer service. it is well over a month since I mailed three rolls of film to them.
2 other rolls and contact sheets came back about 2 weeks later. The negatives had an orange look to them which need correction when scanned into Photoshop. Although the contact sheet looked very good

Comments about A&I Develop + Proof Sheet Mailer for Black & White Film:
[...] it's cheaper than any local lab. Negatives and proof sheet were returned in a timely manner and in a very sturdy, well sealed envelope. I plan on using them for all my med format processing.

Comments about A&I Develop + Proof Sheet Mailer for Black & White Film:
I'll admit I'm a Luddite. I LOVE black and white, and I LOVE picking up 'old' film Nikons at a steal from used camera departments. I have a very functional, very discontinued Konica Minolta Dimage IV Film scanner, a Nikon FM10, and a Nikon 4004s (and a very weird, very beloved Pronea 6i), and love the whole process of turning film into digital, simply because its funky. Most people want the instant gratification of digital; I love the wait as the film goes out to be processed. I tried my hand at in-home black-and-white processing, but my limited skills made for negatives with dust and water spots, and general second-rate negatives. That's where these A&I mailers come in. They process professionally, even push-processing should I desire, I send them out in a little bag just like when I was a kid who sent out those yellow Kodak mailers in 1965, and [...], my negatives come back, clean and spot-free, with a contact sheet and negatives to digitize in the Dimage and no prints to throw away (after all, digital DOES have storage advantages...). I'm sure that professional photographers have a more sophisticated use for this service, but for me with my beloved old film cameras, A&I is a godsend.
