The Fantasea Cool Flash Nano combines a durable watertight housing together with a remote land flash. The combination provides the perfect economical solution to be used with all digital point and shoot cameras. The strobe unit triggers in sync with the digital camera's internal flash by a small light sensor in the strobe body.
The Nano has three flash modes to suit a wide variety of digital cameras. Whether your camera is capable of manual mode, or has one or two pre-flashes to set exposure, the strobe ensures correct exposure with all such camera types.
The Cool Flash Nano attaches easily to the flex arm and the photographer is ready to shoot great photos underwater and outdoors in extreme environments. The Cool Flash Nano works with all Fantasea housings as well as other digital camera housings.

Comments about Fantasea Line Cool Flash Nano:
I was in the market for an external underwater strobe but didn't want to commit to a lot of money without seeing the results in action with my particular camera, and I wasn't sure if my camera would work with one to begin with. Even though this unit is cheap compared to most underwater strobes, the photo results have been really good and in most cases, better than the built in flash. I clearly need a 2nd strobe to have full coverage, but for the time being, this is a great buy and fulfills my current needs perfectly.

Comments about Fantasea Line Cool Flash Nano:
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it consumes AAA batteries like there is no tomorrow. If you take a lot of flash photos on a 45 min dive change the batteries between each dive or the flash will peter out in the middle of your second dive :-(.
Another tip, for the slave sync to work make sure the button inside the case back properly engages and pushes down on the "off-auto" switch or it will not be in slave mode. The instructions aren't clear about this.

The flash is used in combination with a Canon Point and shoot camera. For this purpose It is perfect. This is not a flash for professional quality work. For casual underwater usage it performes very well.

I use it for scuba diving, and it's good value for money. Light to carry, compact and easy to use, reliable (until now), good re-charging time. I use it basicly for macro photography and it works pretty well for my needs.

Comments about Fantasea Line Cool Flash Nano:
Tested the Nano and worked fine. Once in the waterproof case, never worked. The plastic part that holds fiber cable on front of waterproof case came off. So never even got the chance to test in the water.
