We use this backpack for a Cannon Digital Rebel. It fits very nicely with the standard 18-55 lens, one extra 70-300 lens and an external flash. It has enough space for one more short lens or a battery charger. Not much more camera gear will fit so if you've got more, you need to go with a larger bag. It's really shorter than I expected, but it holds our camera snugly. It fit better on my wife's back, but not uncomfortable for me.

The nice thing about this bag is the extra pockets on the inside of the bag and the pockets in the front zippered section. You could tell these were thought out by a photographer. All of our extras like batteries and memory cards have a spot. They have a tab you can pull over your full cards so you can tell which ones are available at a glance. At first, I thought that was just a silly option, but we use it and it is helpful.

The zippers are covered with a flap, which makes it harder to unzip. We didn't like this until some sand got kicked on the bag at the beach. After blowing it off, we couldn't find any sand in the bag. Very nice. I'll deal with the zipper for that kind of protection.

Great durability through trips to the beach and elsewhere with three kids and luggage.

Will consider Tamrac bags again if we get too much gear for this one.

I use this product with a Canon 40d w/efs-17-85mm and ef-s 55 - 250mm lenses, plus a small flash. The bag actually holds the entire kit - but it must be arranged carefully. Last year I rented a 70-200 f2.8L lens for our Yellowstone trip and it was a tight squeeze to get the complete kit in - even leaving my normal zoom home. So, if you like to pack minimally, this might work for you. If you like a little flexibility in how you pack, maybe not.

Of course, the bag is made very well as you might expect from Tamrac. I think it is just best suited for smaller SLR's and/or smaller kits.

I didn't particularly like the way the bag opens, and the outside pocket is very tight. Wearing the backpack wasn't as comfortable as I would like - but that is likely different for different people.

I normally like Tamrac products and will buy another, this just wasn't my favorite. I recommend handling one in person before buying.

I wanted a small backpack to wear on my back since I usually always have a purse or diaper bag on my shoulder (or falling off my shoulder). I have a 18-135mm lens on my camera so I currently do not have an extra lens. I have room in the pack for an extra lens but not multiple lenses. It is comfortable to wear walking, hiking, biking, ect. Not easy to use if you are wanting to reach in the bag often or change lenses a lot. I prefer the camera around my neck and the bag out of my way.

I bought another back pack, but it was just too big for the amount of gear I have, and things were loose in it. I found this one, and it's perfect for what I have: a Canon Rebel, one extra lens (zoom), a flash, two hoods, and a few odds and ends. I'm just a hobby photographer, so this is perfect me, it's well made, and once you get used to how it opens and closes, it's not a problem. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and quite cute!

I have this and I knew it was small when I ordered it. It fits my camera (Canon XS) with my lens mounted to it (70-200 f/4 USM). I also have the kit lens (18-55 IS). I do mostly wildlife/landscape photography so I needed to travel light. It will hold more than you think (if you know how to pack). Very durable. I'd recomend it to anyone. Tamrack makes very good products.

This came in smaller than I thought it would be. Fine for my D90 body and an extra lens with other small parts and while I am keeping it for easy small shoots, I ordered the Lowepro Flipside 300 and it will hold the extra lens and a couple of flash heads.

I carry several small cameras, each with a special purpose. A Canon SX10 20 x optical lens, a Canon FS11 camcorder, and a smaller point & shoot. I go into the field, to film nature. Instead of lugging my big backpack, for small camera equipment. I now have this smaller pack, that carries all I need, and then some. Small bag, lightweight, big on space. Room for batteries, memory cards,a snack and drink. Very good price for this roomy little bag.

I bought this backpack for my Husband as a christmas gift. It is excellent for traveling with minimal equipment. This product has enough pouches for memory cards, filters and extra batteries. This backpack is for light use and is not able to handle larger lenses and camera bodies. This backpack makes it easy to move around and have your hands free.

The thing that's great about it is that its small and goes on your back. If you're not planning on taking a bunch of equipment with you its ideal. It can hold a flash, a lens, a camera, an extra battery, some cleaning gear and a small notebook. If you need more equipment then a bigger pack would be more useful.
The major downfall is that the equipment is not easily accessible. However, the shoulder bags can get a bit heavy on the shoulder after a couple of hours.
