I use the product to protect the screen of my Nikon D80 mainly so there isn't any confusion on the quality of my photos while viewing them. I also like to keep my camera in good shape, so its very useful. Its great because it doesn't cost much, but it does a lot so its worth it and easy to replace. The only negative thing about it is that if its not kept well it will definitely break, but really and truly only if it isn't attached to the camera. Though I'm sure with your purchase your intentions will be to keep it on the camera.

The cover is exactly like the original and what I had been expecting. Nikon was out-of-stock but B&H came through for me again. B&H's price might have even been somewhat lower than Nikon's web price. A good find.

My plastic LCD cover cracked during travel to NYC and I was able to walk into B&H, get a replacement and be on my way. This product does what it's suppose to and gives me peace of mind knowing my LCD screen is being protected. I didn't want to go a day without it.

I don't know why all cameras don't have this. My old one was scatched from a few years of use making it difficult to see the display in daylight. It's much easier now with the new, unscratched cover. Without the cover it would have been my LCD that was scratched and I would have just had to live with it.

Original cover survived for almost a year without a scratch, and I thought it was pretty durable, UNTIL I hung the camera around my neck, and it rubbed on my shirt's plastic buttons. Scratched it up pretty bad. I bought two new covers, just to have spares (before they become "rare", as this camera is discontinued).

B&H does have everything and I'm thankful they have these covers. But the covers keep breaking. I've bought two or three already. Just bought one 5 months ago and now I'm replacing it because it broke. They do protect the LCD screen though and I certainly can't live without them. I'm ordering a few this time so I won't have to keep buying them.

One of these covers came with my Nikon D80 a couple of years ago. I recently dropped my camera and the only thing that busted was this cover (the plastic hook snapped from the impact with the ground). I quickly ordered a replacement to protect the LCD screen. I personally can not believe Canon's don't ship with something similar. I couldn't imagine using my Nikon without one.

The LCD cover for my Nikon D-80 camera body is subjected to lots of stress, and inevitably gets a few scratches. I have found it worthwhile to replace the cover every few years to maintain a high quality viewing area. This cover is an exact duplicate of the original Nikon cover, and fits perfectly. It is very low cost. Nikon probably could produce a cover that is more resistant to scratching and marring, but I prefer to have the option of paying a little bit to replace the cover than paying more and having the cover degrade slowly over time.

What's to say, it's a screen protector. My D80 didn't come with one because I purchased it refurbished.
It looks professional and functional without hindering operation of the camera. Keeps me from scratching the screen through carelessness and it keeps my greasy oily (and occasionally un-showered) face from making it gross.
