Not a lot to say about a battery except that it works as it's supposed to work. Maybe it holds a better charge; I can't say because I've not purchased/tried an imitation at half the price.
Beyond that I was glad to note a case for the battery is included. Too often handy items like cases, straps and even adapters aren't included.
This battery isn't cheap and ought include a case at the price. It does.

LX3 is not really hungry for power, but it's a relief to have the spare in the bag or even pocket. Adding nothing in terms of weight and size, you'll regret not having it when running out unexpectedly.

An inexpensive back up battery made by the original manufactuer is a rare thing. Has a nice long life, short charge time, and convenient case to keep the contacts clean and dust free. I'm using this battery with my lx-3 I just got and it seems just as good if not better than the stock battery

Like many looking for the "bargain" I've purchased non-brand name replacement/backup batteries. With this specific battery the number of recharge cycles is at least more than double that of the non-branded battery (Power something). In the long run when you factor in the total cost and the garbage factor, the Panasonic battery is the better value.

I use the battery in my LX1 and now my new-used LX2. When I got my LX1, I got a Power 2000 battery as a spare. After a couple of years, the Panasonic battery is still going strong and the non OEM battery will no longer take a charge.
I am pretty good about using the battery until it is exhausted and then charging it up, but not over charging. I got a new Panasonic battery as the new spare.

I picked up an additional battery with my LX3 camera. You really don't want to be without a backup battery when you are away from power. It works great. I could be a few bucks cheaper.
