Efke 4 x 5" PL 25M Black and White ISO 25 Negative Film is a fine grain, extremely sharp film that is characterized by a very high silver content. Prints displaying an excellent gray scale tonality are produced using traditional black and white developers. Efke films are made using ADOX formulas (for high resolution) that were first introduced back in the 1950s.

Efke products are true to their rated speed. They allow both amateurs and professionals to produce high-quality prints. As a result of the fine resolution of this film, large, grain free, enlargements can be made from the negatives.

Made in Croatia
Efke roll films are coated on a acetate base (130 microns plus coating)

Comments about Efke 4 x 5" PL 25M Black and White ISO 25 Negative Film (50 Sheets):

great tonality in pryocat developers when shuffled in a tray. just be sure to give plenty of exposure (I rate the film at iso 12), and not too much development. I find the film to print best on Ilford warmtone when it's developed to a contrast index that matches a grade 3 or 4 filter.

Comments about Efke 4 x 5" PL 25M Black and White ISO 25 Negative Film (50 Sheets):

Reduced red sensitivity reduces red blemishes, providing a reduction in unhappiness regarding skin tones amongst the red hat ladies I've photographed. I run this in a Pacemaker Speed Graphic/Aero Ektar combo.
The emulsion was oddly difficult to load in a muggy changing bag compared to my usual Kodak film.
I shipped a box of this to my Cousins house in anticipation of a family reunion. She Promptly opened the box and flipped through the "photos" to see what they were. She quickly ordered a new box, but will attest to the fact that this film must be loaded in complete darkness.

Comments about Efke 4 x 5" PL 25M Black and White ISO 25 Negative Film (50 Sheets):

I love shooting black and white film, especially at low ISO ranges. I was excited to get this and while I've only shot a few photos with this film and the results were spectacular. I couldn't see individual grains on my enlarger with focusing scope, normally I can with higher ISOs.
