120 R50 Black and White Negative Film from EFKE is a fine grain, extremely sharp negative film that is characterized by a very high silver content. Efke films are made using ADOX formulas (for high resolution) that were first introduced back in the 1950s. Efke products are true to their rated speed. They allow both amateurs and professionals to produce high-quality prints. As a result of the fine resolution of this film, large, grain free, enlargements can be made from the negatives.

This film can also be processed into slides by dr5 Chrome, 701 West 6th Avenue, Denver, Colorado, 80204 303 534-2375.

Efke roll films are coated on a polyester base (100 microns plus coating)

Comments about Efke 120 R50 Black and White Negative Film:

I've been using this film for indoor natural light portraits and have been very pleased with the results. Has a very smooth fine grain look with a nice tonal scale. Even in underexposed situations the Efke 50 has a great range of rich tones. I actually prefer to shoot the film this way rather than trying to overexpose it. I think it starts to look pastey in strong or overexposed light. Have only used ID-11 to develop it but would be interested to also try other developers with this film.
