Generous size for portrait work. There is a pocket rod for mounting, or a row of grommets along the top. I used 3M-brand Command hooks to hold the backdrop in place on a wall. The muslin has nice coloration (light background with random darker areas), which does not compete with the subject I am photographing. Comes with a handy bag (with velcro closures across the top) to store backdrop. The bag is the same color as the backdrop, so I am able to locate it in my storage closet. Only downside is that the muslin wrinkles easily. I used a hand steamer to smooth it all out and got great results!

I was looking for a source for backgrounds with which to film interviews. I am very pleased with this purchase. The color varied from the web site sample in that the slight, deep blue or purple is absent. However, I did not expect a perfect match and am still very pleased with the color. Seams are well made without puckering. A pleasant surprise was that the backdrop came folded in a bag made from the same material so that I do not have to open the bag to assure that I am selecting the correct backdrop. [...] This is a great product and I will be purchasing more Backdrop Alley products from BH.

I was very amazed at the quality of this backdrop. It was exactly like I pictured it to be. It looks like a summer sky with white clouds... basically like a blue with white tyd eye look to it. It's perfect for doing portraits for everyone of all ages. A must have to your collection in your studio.!!! Very happy with this product!

The muslin this backdrop is made of is thicker than other backdrops I've purchased, which I liked because I work in daycares so I need a durable backdrop. The color is very nice - the blue is exactly what I'd imagined it to be. The only reason I gave this product four stars instead of five is because it has a bit of a tie-dyed look, which I could not see in the online picture.

This review is very similar to my review of another background I purchased.

I wanted this mostly for a light background in portrait photographs. I expected to like it, and my expectations were more than met. Even without ironing, the wrinkles did not show much, although more visible than on a dark background. The size of the backdrop is large enough that the subject can sit or stand several feet in front of the background, allowing depth of field to add to the effect that the background was not a focus of attention. My olive skinned, dark haired grand son stood out beautifully in the photo I took. The photo lab questioned whether this might be an illegal copy of a professional studio portrait. Unwittingly, he testified to the quality of the entire picture.

The size is good, but might be a bit large for home use. I would have had to move furniture around in my home; however, in a studio or other spacious room it works very well.
