As a professional PHOTOGRAPHER (Not musician) I just adore this paper! It makes the perfect backdrop and can be reused again and again if you put something on the flooring (plexi). If it gets dirty you just tear off a sheet and pull down a new one. I have this in both black and white, and it is fantastic! NOTE: This really isn't portable unless your vehicle is massive because the paper is HUGE! It will not fit into my suv, but I guess I could always strap it to the top!

Savage paper has always been a good quality background paper. I use on a portable stand for studio setups at home studio and away.The last 3 rolls received have been in a [...] tube rather then a box as has been the case in the past. All three rolls have arrived ripped at a point where tape has been applied to hold it down. The rips have been anywhere from one wrap to almost 15ft. in. What a terrible waste of product. After the last roll arrival I have emailed Savage about the issue and have yet to hear back.

This is a very quick and easy background to use for dramatic portraits, particulary black and white. This doesn't "swallow" the light, like black velvet does, but is very useful especially when a large background is required.

I used this seamless paper to take photos of a 7 piece band. It was delivered very quickly and got the job done that I needed it for. The only thing I would like improved is that the tube it comes in just had taped ends. If it came in a re-sealable tube it would be better for transporting the paper.

Solid thick black paper. It's great stuff, especially because there are no wrinkles like there are in fabric. The only downside is also the upside, it's really dang long when it's rolled up in the tube and you could easily smack someone in the face if you're not carful carrying it. I'd definitely recommend buying some clamps to keep it from rolling out any further than you want it to.

It kinks easy. Heavy to roll in and out. Shows dirt and it would be really nice if it were 12' wide. Other than those negatives. It is paper. It fits the budget and works well for its intended purpose. It is really hard for my 5'6" 110 girlfriend to use by herself. For me it is not fun but works.

Disappointed that the roll it comes on is too narrow to fit on my rolleasy powered roller system. It is a hassle unrolling the entire roll of paper and taping it to the aluminum rollers.

Portrait ,indoor, background non reflective, durable, doesnt tear easy.. unless is at the very edge of the starting paper, but if you apply some painter tape on the edge will fix it, and prevent from tearing

What can I say? It's black and it's seamless. It does the job [...] it's about the same I would have paid at the local camera shop, but I don't have the hassle of trying to get it home. The only thing I noticed was that this paper slides around on the roll a bit more than the ones I got from the local place. But that's not a big deal.I got a few threaded hooks and a piece of 10' 1/2" EMT conduit from the local hardware store and hung the seamless paper from the ceiling of my basement.

I use this black background to take portraits in my indoor studio. It is great for creating a more intimate or moody portrait than my white backdrop can create. I often interchange the two backdrops for Maternity portraits, newborn portraits, or individual portraits.
