SM Pro Audio XP200 - Nano Series Phono Preamplifier
The XP200 from SM Pro Audio, is a phono preamplifier that accepts input from both moving coil (MC) and moving magnet (MM) cartridges. Applications include the transfer of old vinyl collections to a computer, or as a portable DJ turntable preamplifier.
The unit features an adjustable preamplifier gain control and includes RIAA equalization. The adjustable gain allows for both low and hot input signals. It can be powered by either a 9V battery, or a 12VDC external power adapter, neither of which is included.
The compact, shielded chassis protects the XP200 against distortion and interference from other electrical equipment, particularly the hostile internal environment of a computer. Connection to the later is simple, achieved by connecting the audio outputs of the unit, to the inputs of the computers audio interface or soundcard.
