The Nikon Coolpix L6 provides a 6.0 megapixel resolution and produces images with great picture clarity, which can be fully appreciated on the bright 2.5" LCD. The high quality 38mm - 116mm Zoom-Nikkor lens (35mm equivalent), is great for you to zoom in for tight portraits or zoom right out to capture wide-open scenery.
The Coolpix L6 makes it simple to get great-looking results in challenging situations. Three unique in-camera Nikon image innovations adjust the image, detecting and correcting imperfections: Face Priority AF automatically detects and achieves sharp focus on people's faces wherever they are in the frame; In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically overcomes the red-eye effect sometimes caused by flash; and D-Lighting makes it possible to rescue underexposed images or shots taken with too much back-light. In addition, there are 16 different Scene modes to select from to optimize the camera settings for your particular shooting conditions.
The camera includes PictBridge capability, which enables direct connection to compatible printers without the need for a computer, and PictureProject software simplifies the importing, editing and organization of your images. Altogether, the Nikon Coolpix L6 is an excellent choice for the entry-level photographer, producing rewarding images from the first click.

In addition, when using the Best Shot Selector feature, the camera takes a series of photos and selects the one with sharpest focus.

- The in-camera red-eye fix automatically fixes most instances of red-eye in the camera so you may never see red eyes again, and the D-Lighting Feature automatically brightens the dark areas in the picture when in playback mode.
