Feature for feature, dollar for dollar, the Omega D6700 Dichroic is the best value in color enlargers anywhere.

Add an inexpensive camera stage and the enlarger converts to a stable copy stand. Reverse the lamphouse on the baseboard for a professional dichroic light source for custom slide and transparency duplication.

The mechanical design is superb, with a precision die-cast carriage, negative stage and lens stage.

The D6700 is an outstanding choice for black and white as well. The dichroic filters can be dialed to black & white variable contrast filter equivalents.

What's more, the diffusion-type light is much more tolerant of scratched or dusty negatives, making printing much easier; a worthwhile consideration, especially for school use.

: • Vibration-free performance with an oversize, square-beam, anodized aluminum girder. Reference scales are included. Print up to 12X enlargements from 35mm. The girder reverses for floor projection. Press-to-release magnification control, for right- or left-hand use.

: • A counterbalanced and bearing-mounted die cast carriage assembly delivers the smoothest operation at any price. Twin, stainless steel focusing rails and a large, knurled focusing knob with tension-adjusted friction drive.

: • Extra-long bellows are standard.

: • Locked alignment of die cast lens and film stages for permanent parallelism.

: • Quartz-halogen illumination ensures short exposures and consistent performance for the life of the lamp.

: • Dichroic filtration. Fade-free Cyan, Magenta and Yellow filters are continuously variable throughout 0-170cc. Readouts are illuminated and color coded.

: • Memory-Lock™ white light system instantly retracts filters for easier, sharper focusing. 18" x 18" photo-gray laminated baseboard is fully edge banded and steel reinforced.
