Comments about Omega Probrella Portable Protective Umbrella:
The sliding mount does not have a positive locking device. In windy situations you will hear the mount clacking around. Had to use a woodscrew to lock in the slding portion. Not what I expect for a [$] tiny umbrella.

I have used the Probella a few times now and am pleased with the results. It is easy to attach and gives good coverage from rain and sun. The umbrella can be tilted and lowered to cover different wind conditions. A good buy for the price.

I had been looking for a way to shoot video (with a handycam) in the rain. When I saw these Probrellas, I had to try them. I love them...they attach easily to a tripod and are the perfect size for keeping the rain/snow/sleet off of my camera.

Comments about Omega Probrella Portable Protective Umbrella:
Really small and not too sturdy.
Only of much use in good weather without much wind as any rain will blow under the umbrella due to the small size or cause it to blow over sideways.
Nice idea, but just not what I hoped for.

Great idea and works fine most of the time. My only exception is it could be a little bigger.
They should have another option for a bigger size.

Comments about Omega Probrella Portable Protective Umbrella:
Definitely the right idea, and probably works well with cameras. Not so good with camcorders. Problem is with the way Probrella mounts on tripod video head.

This portable protective umbrella has been a wonderful addition to my equipment pack.
I have used this to block harsh sun and have had the oportunity to deflect a few rain drops.
Easy to mount on tripod. A very wide range of adjustment.
There is a guide at the bottom of the umbrella post. I suggest tacking this in with a few drops of epoxy. It constantly will fall off otherwise.
