Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
I use mine for wildlife, portraits & candid shots. It is lightweight, which makes it much more comfortable when used for long periods than heavier bodies. It has excellent battery life, and the size C sensor gives me a bit more reach with telephoto lenses.

I really love this camera better than my older model, which broke. This seems lighter, and it does more. Way to go, Canon!

Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
I've had my XTi for a few weeks now and I love it! I've especially liked it for shooting photos after dark. I love the self cleaning sensor, because I had some dust problems with my old XT. It took a little getting used to, because the controls are a bit different then the XT, but I really enjoy using it now.

This camera takes multi picture taking to another level. Please get the battery pack, you will always have plenty of reserve.I shot 1400 pictures at a wedding and still had remaining power and the camera kept up to speed all day. This camera does a great job,but I would not say it is a totally professional piece. For the money,it is fantastic, especially with the battery pack.

Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
I don't have much to say about the features, you can read them for yourselves. The camera is everything it should be. I am an artist and enjoy manual features of cameras. I am by no means a photographer so my wife wanted something simple, point and shoot, instead of this camera. She fell in love with the camera after the first photo. It was very easy for her to use, she got her point and shoot! She took photos at dusk, with any of our previous cameras the shots would not have turned out, they looked beautiful and she didn't have to know anything about the camera.

I'm so pleased to be back with EOS again and digital. I got the best photos of the grandsons at their respective sports games. Even ones with both feet off the ground as one ran to home plate and the other went down field cradling the ball. They loved the pictures too. AND the pictures of our granddaughter - close-up and not fuzzy. AND pictures of scenery also.
I really appreciate the feature at allows you to zoom in on the picture in the LCD panel. then I know that printed crop will work or not. I couldn't be more pleased.

Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
As a young college student, the purchase of this camera was a big investment and I did a lot of research on different makes and models out there. I'm so glad I chose this camera; all the reccomendations I heard/read were the truth. I use the camera a lot to take pictures of cattle that are for sale and for use in promotional advertising. I've found the camera to be great for this purpose. However, installing the accompanying software to my computer caused it to experience some technical difficulties that had to be straightened out.

I'm no professional but this camera has produced some fabulous photos. I have also purchased the 28-135mm IS lens which I would recommend.
If you are looking to upgrade from your point and shoot but don't want to put out the thousands of dollars for a professional camera then the XTi is the way to go, you will get the best bang for your buck and you'll feel like a professional.

I bought this camera body alone and paired it with the 50mm 1.4 and the pictures I get are superb. Still learning to use the other features that will help me take even better pictures. The xti has lived up to all my expectations.

Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
I am starting wanna-be professional photographer. This is my first digital camera (with the exception of the small point and shoot cameras). I was very intimidated about all the different gadgets that would need to be learned before using this camera, but was pleasently suprised to see how easy it was to use. I have not found anything(knock on wood)that is not great about this camera. Very happy customer!!

This is my first attempt at SLR and this camera has made it easy and fun to learn! I've been able to take great pics without spending hours reading an owner's manual. The camera proabably has more "capability" than I need, but it IS fun and easy to use!

Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
I am a beginner to DSLR and am having tons of fun with it. The kits lens is ok. I like to shoot my kids hockey games and have found that the 70-200 2.8 IS is the way to go. I would definately recommend the battery grip for it. Easy to use and haven't had any problems.
Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
This is a great all around camera. I had the digital rebel and upgraded to the xti. I love the auto sensor cleaning at start up and shut down. Being an outdoor photographer it is amazing how much dust you can get on the sensor. Since owning the xti, I have had no dust problems at all! The camera is easy to use and takes great detailed photos!
Expertise: Serious amateur
Problems Encountered: On occasion when in program modes, problems with the flash popping up. But it was easy to fix, just either change the mode or go into manual mode. I have never missed a shot because of it, would consider it a minor problem.

Items I Recommend: vertical battery grip
Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
I am one of many photographers that have moved from Nikon to Canon, this move came after 23 years using Nikon gear. I recently bought the Canon Rebel XTi to have as our family holiday camera as I rather keep the pro gear safe at home. The first impression I got when holding this camera is the weight, perfect for travel, its a full featured camera with all the settings you would want if you want to go and get that difficult image, be it tricky lighting or fast action. This camera is very user friendly and has five modes of program which I never use; it also has fully automatic, aperture priority, shutter priority and manual. You can make full use of all Canon lenses thus making this little camera a good back up camera with its impressive 10 megapixel processor. I have used this camera with the Canon 500mm f/4 L IS USM lens and got excellent performance with the 1.6 crop factor.I will not compare this camera with the 5D or 1DS Mk 2 as these top cameras are way above its class, however when comparing it with the 30D, I found it far more user friendly however the 30D has much better and faster focusing.
Expertise: Pro for 23 years
Problems Encountered: Auto focus is much slower than the 30D when compared using the same lens (17-40 L)

Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
I currently have owned a Canon EOS Rebel in the past, it happened to be a EOS Rebel Ti. I looked at the Rebel XTi at a camera store here in the Houston area, I was very impressed on what the camera had to offer. It has some of the exact same features that the Canon EOS Rebel Ti had.
Expertise: Semi Professional

Items I Recommend: Canon Zoom Lens EF 28-90 mm, (Silver) Canon Zoom Telephoto Lens EF 75-300 mm
Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
I love Canon products and their optics are fantastic. This SLR camera is very easy to use for the first time user and also boasts a plethora of additional settings and options. I have taken some very nice macro pictures using the macro setting. I highly recommend this camera.
Expertise: Semi Professional
Problems Encountered: I don't like that you can't just shut off the flash other than setting the camera to no flash. In other Canon camera models you can turn off the flash and still use the settings on the wheel. It's frustrating when I'm shooting in macro and the flash keeps popping up.
Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Canon S2 IS, Canon Powershot A70, Canon ZR-90 video camera
Items I Recommend: 10-22mm wide angle Canon, 75-300mm USM telephoto
Comments about Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Digital Camera Body (Silver):
We have been using Canon products for 5 years now. I bought my original Canon Rebel and some additional lenses and flash in 2002. Our first digital camera was the Canon S45, a very nice little point and shoot. However, after having two kids, I realized that the autofocus delay was annoying and we were missing too many fun pictures of our kids. We made the switch to a digital SLR five months ago and haven't looked back. I am a dedicated Canon owner and love their products. Another plus, we were able to use all the lenses and external flash that we had for the film SLR with the XTi. That was a HUGE selling point for me. This is a great beginner digital SLR camera and I have been very happy with the great shots I've gotten of our kids. I purchased The Digital Photography Book when I bought this camera, I would highly recommend that for anyone who is new to digital SLR photography. The author speaks in terms that are easy to understand. I found this camera review page very useful in making my decision. They also cover all the Canon lenses available.
Expertise: Amateur
Problems Encountered: The only thing that bugs me is when I am taking numerous photos with a flash, there is a slight delay or busy signal when they are writing to the CF card. But we're getting by.
Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Canon Powershot S45 and Canon Rebel
Items I Recommend: Canon EF 28-105mm lens, very versatile and good price.
