The Hewlett-Packard Color LaserJet 4700n Printer is a laser printer for businesses that can be connected to a computer via a Parallel, USB 2.0 or JetDirect Ethernet connection. There's also expansion slots to accept input from CompactFlash memory cards.

The 4700n is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, Novell and Linux operating systems. It features fast start-up, a 600x600 dpi resolution for both monochrome and color prints, and very fast 31 ppm printing. Its trays can hold 600 pages of paper and 20 envelopes, and the toner cartridges (which are rated for 11000 pages) are individual to reduce replacement cost. This is an excellent solution for anyone who requires the speed and quality of a color laser printer.

Fast Printing
The printer can print documents at rates up to 31 ppm. It is powered by a 533 MHz processor and includes 160 MB of RAM that can be upgraded to 544 MB. The printer can produce the first page in about 16.5 seconds from a cold start, eliminating the long wait often associated with printer start-up.
Flexible Connectivity
The LaserJet features a standard bi-directional parallel port as well as a USB 2.0 port for direct computer connection. It also features an integrated JetDirect print server for Ethernet connectivity. It even has 2 EIO slots, 1 auxiliary port and 1 accessory port for future expansion. These expansion slots allow you to load fonts from CompactFlash memory or even install a 40 GB hard drive for document storage and caching.
Color Printing
The printer produces professional quality color laser prints using HP ColorSphere Toner. This lets you create marketing materials, brochures and more in-house, eliminating the need for extensive outsourced printing. The printer features 4 toner cartridges, 3 color and 1 black, to allow you to economically replace cartridges as they are exhausted.
600 dpi Resolution
The LaserJet reproduces crisp text at 600x600 dpi resolution. It is rated with a duty cycle of up to 35,000 pages per month.
Media Options
The printer features paper drawers that can hold up to 600 sheets of paper and up to 20 envelopes. It can even print card stock and transparencies. This makes it a versatile option for all of your laser printing needs.
