The head is very smooth and the ability to shoot from such a low height is awesome! Easy to use, carry and adjust height while camera is attached. Great to have a level bubble which is easy to use!

Last year I wrote a review about this product but I really didn't know the tripod very well at the time and the review was not a good one. Now I have only praises for this tripod. It works great with my Sony VX 2100 camera. Its weight is just right and setting up is quick. Later I am changing my camera but not my tripod. I also have another more expensive tripod but that sleeps in its case until I have a two camera shoot. I love my Libec.

This is a good tripod for a small camera but what is sorely lacking are contols for ajusting pan and tilt drag.

We are very pleased at the performance of this item. Very easy to use, durable, easily moved around, not at all a burden on our on-location shoots. Movements are smooth, adjustments can be made quickly and easily, and it folds and unfolds quickly and easily. If you're shooting in DV out in the field, and you're moving around a lot, this is a great tripod to use.

This is my first Libec product and I must say they do make fine eq. This thing is taylor made for my Sony PD170 videocam which I have used both in television production for almost a year now with NO problems at all. Not enough oo's in smooth to describe how well the head is built. Honey smooth! With the spring counter balance you never have to worry about dumping the camera. The half-ball leveler works super, as well as the other pan and tilt locks. They are quick and secure even with a minmal twist of the locking knob & levers. Very stable and quick to collapse for transport with just a quarter twist of the leg locks. (One per leg). For all you get with this tripod it is also very light weight. You can always tell a good tripod by how it feels with a camera attached and this one feels like it should be a $1000 unit!
Problems Encountered: None, except I wish I heard of the Libec name years ago!
