The Cokin Creative Filter System consists of a rectangular plastic filter holder with four slots (one for Cokin rotating filters and three for rectangular ones), a variety of optional adapter rings which click into place and rotate, and many optical resin filters.
There are two Cokin sizes, "A" & "P". The "A" series is adequate for 35mm cameras and camcorders and fits filter sizes from 36-62mm. The "P" series covers diameters from 48-82mm and is generally preferred for everything, particularly wide angle lenses. Over 100 filters and a wide range of accessories are available for each system, i.e. modular lens hoods, lens caps, and storage boxes.

Works fine. I use it to hold the Singh-Ray graduated ND filters. The combination offers great flexibility and I think is essential for landscape work. Be careful to avoid vignetting when used on your wide angle lens. I have holders in three different sizes and this one is OK all the way down to 18mm on my 18-200 Nikon so long as no filter is on the lens. If you are using a filter, be sure that it has good threads to accept the holder. With a Nikon polarizer inslalled, the vignetting from the combined filter and holder begins just above 18mm.

Having never owned a circular polarizer (CP) before I decided to buy the Cokin P holder and the Cokin CP so I could get the benefits of the holder and polarizer in one shot. The price fair for both too. It works well but trying to rotate the CP within the housing is very difficult so I spin the holder and CP on the adapter ring instead. This is a decent work around but once I slide in a grad ND filter I have to go back to doing it the hard way. Also, once the holder in installed I can not use my hood or lens cap. Of course I knew this going in but it's just another drawback to consider. If I could do it over again I would buy a threaded CP and hand-hold the ND filter.

Does everything it's suppose to! Easily attached. Here in the Pacific Northwest we have a LOT of bright gray skies to contend with. This filter holder works solidly to affix the grad. ND filter I purchased with it.

I use the Cokin P system to hold HiTech 85 filters. I use all 3 types of HiTech filters -- soft edge graduated, hard edge graduated and full. The Cokin P holds the filters securely and is very easy to use. Since the HiTech filters are a little larger than the Cokin P, you can only use 1 filter at a time (in the back slot) and cannot use more than 1 filter at a time. Despite this limitation, I'm able to accomplish the desired effect using a single filter.
In particular, the Cokin P is extremely versatile. All you need is the proper size adapter ring and you can use the filters with holder for any size lens or camera. This eliminates duplication of costly filters for each camera and lens combination that you may own.
I highly recommend the Cokin P system for anyone looking for an affordable, quality filter holder.

[...]I have been on the fence about getting this filter holder for quite some time but was holding off for what reason I couldn't tell you. It was a beautiful weekend, great for a nice little day hike. There is a waterfall at a gorge that would make a great photo, only one problem no ND filter and to much light. I still went but it would have been a whole lot more productive with the proper equipment. That will never happen again not only that, but now with this holder all I need is a different adapter and I can use a plethora of lenses.I have just recently gotten into photography and learned a valuable lesson, if you want it or think you may need it just get it.

I previously handheld my graduated filters in front of my lenses to keep from carrying everything including the kitchen sink when traveling. This holder is compact and makes positioning the filter far more precise. I don't know why I waited so long! I would recommend it to travel photographers.

Cockin P-Series hoder / filters is a great solution for anyone who uses more than one lens on their camera. Instead of dozen of filters in dozen sizes - all you need is one particular filter, one holder - and adapter rings in each size you need.

I bought this filter holder for my Olympus 12-60 lens, meant for holding a couple gnd filters from Singh Ray. It does the job, and is very affordable. It's a little too loose on the ring, so the filter's tilt off center easily, hence 4 stars instead of 5. No vignetting at 12mm unless I put a polarizer on too.

This system works great so far. Wanted a graduated ND filter and this route was cheaper than buying a single circ. glass filter. Product seems durable, rotates on the lens so you can adjust for portait/landscape. I would buy a cap right away as well.
