Comments about Panasonic DMW-FL500 Shoe Mount Flash (Guide No. 164'/50 m at 85mm):
This flash has won my heart! The results of indoor photography using the DMW-FL500 compared to the on camera flash are amazing! I am not a master at flash photography yet, but I am having a grand time learning to use the various modes and flash output levels - impressive! It was a hard decision to choose between the Panasonic FL500 and the less expensive, lighter and less powerful FL360. In the end, the output capabilities trumped. It is one powerful flash!

Shoots wide angle with good, sophisticated contols and build quality. The unit is lacking a built-in diffuser.

Comments about Panasonic DMW-FL500 Shoe Mount Flash (Guide No. 164'/50 m at 85mm):
For TTL and max sync speed this flash works great with my GF1. I also have a LumoPro manual flash, which is more powerful but also larger and heavier, and is more suitable for off camera. So far this flash has worked perfectly on auto and TTL modes, but I haven't tried it in manual mode yet. It's a better buy than the other, lower powered Panasonic flashes because it's the only one that can bounce.
