The Audio-Technica 2000 series wireless microphone systems bridge the gap between affordable wireless technology and professional level quality. The ATW-2110 UniPak system operates on UHF frequencies over the 656.125 MHz to 678.500 MHz band. The system includes the ATW-T210 UniPak body-pack transmitter and ATW-R2100 diversity UHF receiver.
The ATW-R2100 receiver features True Diversity operation. True Diversity operation selects the better signal from the two receiver sections, reducing dropouts and radio frequency interference. The receiver features 10 user selectable UHF frequencies, allowing 10 systems to be used simultaneously. Single touch frequency scanning automatically selects clear frequencies in the area. The rear panel features a balanced XLR output and unbalanced 1/4" phone connection. A back-lit LCD provides channel, AF, RF and diversity status information.
The ATW-T210 UniPak transmitter is a lightweight body pack microphone transmitter that operates on the same frequencies as the receiver. The transmitter features a 4-pin Hirose input that is compatible with Audio-Technica "CW" lavaliers and head worn microphones as well as select instrument cables. The transmitter operates up to 9 hours on two 1.5V AA batteries.| System | |

The Mic System works great with clear sound. Outdoors it has over an 100ft range before dropouts start occurring more frequently. Dropouts would occur sometimes before 100 ft, but walking a few feet to one side would fix the problem. Max range (before total loss of signal) is about 200-225 ft.
The receiver is a little bit bigger than I expected, almost 9"x7"(9"x9" with antennas on.
I think its great that the transmitter uses 2 AA batteries, instead of the more expensive 9 volts.
Although the battery compartment does seem a little flimsy with the plastic cover, I do not think it will be a problem in the near future.

The BAD:
There is a dead spot in our building, just a tiny one. When Pastor crosses that spot, instead of just dropping out like our last mic, there is a tiny-quiet pop sound. There are other spots where the old mic's dropped out as well but I don't notice the pop.
The GOOD:
It works in a spot where our other mic's would simply drop out.
Pretty good value for the money.
Pretty sensitive. I can hear footsteps through the headphones.
Overall I think we are very pleased with this mic. The price was fair enough and so far we've had no problems. HOWEVER that's not very far. You've got to figure, 2 hours per use, and we've used it 3 or 4 times now?

Comments about Audio-Technica ATW-2129 Wireless UHF Body-Pack System - Includes: ATW-R2100 Receiver, ATW-T210 UniPak Transmitter and AT829CW Lavalier Microphone (TV 45-48):
I chose this for a presentation room A/V installation for a client. It works great, easy setup (take it out of the box and plug it in), small form factor, great range, very little feedback even when standing right below speakers, well priced.
What's not to like?
Wireless body pack looks and feels cheaply made. Doesn't affect performance though.

This is my second Audio Technica 2000 system. I highly recommend these systems to anyone. I use them for mobile DJ work. I plan to use this system to mic the pastor at wedding ceremonies.

We use the ATW-2129 for our pastor to minister with. The ONLY problem I have had is it gets a little muddy when he raises his volume. I think that can be fixed with some tweaking!

This piece of equipment works perfectly in our auditorium. The connection was simple and mounting was a breeze. I cannot srtress enough the amazing price we got. Our local vendor wanted a bunch of money to install and hook up 2 lapel mike systems. With this I can get 2 for less than 20% of his quote.
The sound is clear and the size is perfect. IT is simple to use and the system is compact. The user part is very light and you can adjust the channel so you can use more that one system in the same room.
I have yet to find a con.

This system is used in a church and I am very pleased with it. It was easy to set up. Plugged right into out XLR type mic input for the PA system.
The range is great! It has great distance coverage. I tested the transmitter for about 150 feet from the receiver through cinder block walls and even went down a few hall ways away from the receiver and into other rooms and there was no reception problem. The mic quaity is good too.
I am a little conderned about the plastic battery cover on the transmitter. It is not very strong and I forsee it breaking in the future due to the frequency of battery changes we will require. The batteries last about 7-9 hours so we will be changing batteries once or twice a month. That's my only concern so far.

When I first reviewed this, I said I was disappointed in it. But after using it in our church services, I am more favorably impressed. It sounds OK, no feedback problems when user is near speakers, and quite transparent sounding.
