The Hitachi StarBoard BT-1 Freedom Tablet is a lightweight, portable presentation device, and is an accessory for all StarBoard presentation systems. The BT-1 is used to annotate presentations and run computer applications in meeting rooms and classrooms while moving about the room.
The StarBoard BT-1 System becomes a full presentation system with the optional StarBoard software suite for mobile presenters to use with laptops, or as an upgrade for rooms already equipped with a computer, mouse and projectors. When used in combination with a video projector or a plasma display, the presenter can move about the room with the simple pen on tablet interface to run the StarBoard Software or any other application.
The StarBoard BT-1 communicates with the computer running the StarBoard Software through a wireless Bluetooth interface. The BT-1 and its pen are battery operated and consequently completely wireless, providing complete freedom to move about the room while delivering presentations. The included Bluetooth receiver is a small device that plugs into any USB port on the computer.
The StarBoard Software Suite
The intuitive and easy to master StarBoard Software Suite uses a simple icon oriented user interface to provide access to all functions of the software through a single button on the StarBoard BT-1 Freedom Tablet. Though simple to use, the StarBoard Software provides an extensive set of features to help you prepare and deliver your presentation. Some Features of this powerful software include:
- Conferencing among up to 50 networked systems via IP addresses
- Continuous scrolling whiteboard pages for note taking
- Six palettes of electronic ink including solid, translucent 3D shadow, 2D two-tone, 3D fancy and assorted paint and fill patterns
- Easily expandable background pages and clipart libraries
- Handwriting recognition software
- Intelli-Pen function that converts freehand objects into smooth drafting quality geometric objects
- Pointer Pen feature for temporary annotations
- Object Functions including undo, rotate, redo, cut copy, paste, etc.
- Magnifying spotlight tool
