Works great on the HVX200, and I would recommend having a backup for road trips or mulitiple camera shoots with multiple setups and real time p2 transfers. It is pricey but worth it if you are using the HVX200 in a serious production.

It's a very good product, BUT they could easily sell this item for $20 instead of [$].It's just a power supply with a built in battery charger...Panasonic has been making this unit for years.There are no other generic options out there to power an AG-DVX100P or other similar cameras. So we're stuck with this option. BUT...I am glad that B&H carries this unit. [...]

And its really inconvenient to run your camera without it. I think Panasonic charges way too much for this, its a bit of a rip off.

I use this as a second charger for my HPX-170. The batteries for this camera take several hours to charge, so a second charger was the most economical way to always have a battery charging while on all day shoots.
