The HS 300 is an AM/FM (35W/channel) A/V receiver with a built-in progressive-scan DVD player capable of 480p, and 720p/1080i video up-scaling for HDTV playback capability. Harman Kardon also includes the HKTS 11 Home Theater Speaker System which can reproduce 800W of heart-pounding audio. This system consists of four (2-Way) satellite speakers, one (2-Way) center speaker, and a powerful 200W subwoofer that will simply knock your socks off.
In addition, the HS 300's front and rear-panel USB jacks enable you to connect your digital camera or thumb drive for instant listening or viewing of compatible image and music files. - Harman Kardon's HS 300 reproduces Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital and DTS audio at a frequency response of 20Hz - 20kHz. The dynamic range of the HS 300 system is so well balanced and matched that the center, front and rear channels blend seamlessly.
- HKTS 11 Speaker System
- The Harman Kardon HS 300 system comes packaged with the HKTS 11 speaker system. It is comprised of four (2-Way) dual-driver satellite speakers for use in the left/right and front/rear speaker positions, one (2-Way) dual-driver center speaker, and a 10" 200W bass-reflex powered subwoofer.

- With its superior bass reproduction, the 10" 200W subwoofer is capable of handling all the punches. Several features include: level control, high-cut (low-pass) filter switch and the ability to accept line level and speaker level inputs.
- Magnetically Shielded
- The four satellite and center speakers are magnetically shielded to prevent picture interference when placed near your TV or display.
- Color-Coding System
- The HS 300 uses an easy-to-use surround-sound channel color-coding system established by Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Included with this system are a set of colored stickers that you would use on the speakers and corresponding speaker wires, thus, making your speaker installation simple and fun.
