The Harman Kardon HE-1000A Infrared Remote Sensor is an external IR sensor capable of executing remote commands of your Harman Kardon system with a compatible remote control. You can finally close your entertainment doors, conceal your system components and their messy wires, and still maintain full control. The HE-1000A may be placed in the remote room of a multi-room application. Installations of up to 100' are possible with the use of a 100' (1/8") IR remote cable connected from your receiver (IR input required) to the Harman Kardon HE-1000A's connection block.
- Versatile Placement
- The HE-1000A may be placed on any flat, level surface or it may be attached to other surfaces with double-stick foam tape.
- Daisy-Chain Multiple Components
- Multiple Harman Kardon components can be connected together and operated with one HE-1000A.

I use the multizone function in my AVR347 for playing music
In my patio, the he1000 let me control the volume
And the source that I am playing.
It's small and useful, I love it.
No downsides for me regarding this product.
It's great right out of the box!

Didn't work!! I connected the external IR and it didn't work. I tried to move the wire on the back of the IR unit and suddenly it start working but when the wire moved back it stopped working again. I opened the product and checked if there are some wire problem - none, seems like all connector and wires are fine, could not figure out what is wrong with it. Seems like the quality of the product is poor.. big disappointment since I have been waiting for that product for a long time.

I use this remote eye to allow me to hide away all my electronic components behind cabinetry, with the same functionality as I would with the doors open. It was a snap to set up with my Harman Kardon receiever. It may not be the prettiest thing - but it's small and discrete enough to avoid notice by most guests.

works well but there is interference with LCD tv after starting up. if you wait about 5 minutes, then the interference disappears but kind of annoying for the money. otherwise, a good product.
