Schmidt & Bender is a premium optics company based in Germany. Their history begins in 1957 with the development and manufacturing of riflescopes for hunting by moonlight. Since then, they have focused exclusively on designing and producing extremely high-quality sighting systems that hunters and tactical marksmen rely on to deal with the most difficult of lighting and environmental conditions. Successful missions often depend upon your ability to improvise-adapt-overcome. Consider the extreme savings, obstacles & hardships endured towards attaining success:  when such efforts boil down to the moment of a single shot determining whether a life is saved or a trophy is bagged, excuses are irrelevant.
Awards don't come easily or often in the optics industry, and the Zenith line of riflescopes has bagged multiple prestigious awards and ongoing praise from the cognoscenti of shooters worldwide. The 2.5-10x56 Zenith Riflescope is a top performer in this line, featuring maximum twilight performance, generous eye relief and a sight picture that snaps into view easily. The impressive 56mm objective lens and extremely durable 30mm main tube suggest a monolithic design, yet this scope is a mere 13 inches long, and even the most graceful lines of a finely crafted firearm will not be overwhelmed by its presence. The versatility of this scope will be favored by hunters and target shooters alike. The wide angle view at 2.5x gives you an all-around look at your surroundings, and enables you to gauge the wind quite easily. When you zoom up to 10x, the angle narrows and sight acquisition on smaller targets over greater distances becomes possible. The coated optics in all Schmidt & Bender scopes have been designed by some of the world's finest optical engineers then carefully polished and installed by master technicians. The result of this painstaking level of quality control is obvious; high performance across the course, and a sleek look that is at home on your finest sporting firearm.
To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable, accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation.
- +2/-3 Dioptric correction
- .360" MOA precision adjustments
- Totally waterproof and fogproof
- 30mm One piece aluminum alloy main tube is rugged and stable
- Large exit pupil and generous eye relief ensure a bright, easily registered sight picture
- Posicon System
- The Posicon system provides a graphic indication of the reticle's position and remaining travel within the scope. This facilitates accurate mounting, sighting in, and that you retain as much elevation and windage adjustment as possible.
- # 7 FlashDot Reticle
The #7 FlashDot reticle gives you a variable intensity red dot in the center of your line of sight. At 3, 6 & 9 o'clock there are long, medium thick, non-tapered posts. Fine cross hairs establish the exact center, and a single stadia at 12 o'clock completes the sight picture. When the illuminated dot is turned off, the cross hairs remain and the reticle functions normally. When the red dot is turned on, sight acquisition is extremely fast, regardless of the lighting conditions.
First focal plane positioning of the reticle ensures consistent shot placement and accurate ranging calculations across the entire zoom range.
