The RangeMax Wireless Access Point from Netgear can be used to add wireless capabilities to your network or to expand a wireless network's range using a bridging function. The access point is designed for use in environments where wireless range is crucial. It uses Smart MIMO technology to give it a larger coverage area than standard access points. It can also be configured as a wireless repeater to increase the coverage area of an existing wireless network.

The WAP offers speeds of up to 108 Mbps when used in conjunction with other Atheros Super G devices. It is fully backwards compatible with 802.11b devices at speeds of up to 11 Mbps.

Whether you are a new user looking to add wireless capabilities to a home network or a professional administrator who needs to expand the range of a complex wireless network, you will find that this WAP will suit your needs.

Smart MIMO Technology
The access point communicates via 7 internal antennas with Smart MIMO technology. This technology helps to cut through electronic interference for increased real-world wireless communication ranges.
802.11b/g Compatibility
The access point is fully compatible with standard 802.11g and 802.11b devices. This ensures that it will integrate seamlessly into your wireless network.
108 Mbps Speed
The access point can communicate with other Atheros Super G devices at speeds of up to 108 Mbps. It also works with standard 802.11g devices for 54 Mbps speed and is fully compatible with legacy 802.11b devices that will connect at speeds of 11 Mbps.
Secure Communication
The WAP features WEP encryption, MAC address filtering, WPA and SSID security options. These security features encrypt your data as it is sent wirelessly to protect sensitive information such as passwords, credit card numbers and confidential documents.
