The 54 Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter from Netgear is a PCI expansion card that adds 802.11g and 802.11b wireless networking to your computer. 802.11g allows you to connect wirelessly at speeds of up to 54 Mbps, giving you ample bandwidth to stream audio or video, play computer games or simply browse the web on a wireless connection. This is a great way to add wireless networking capabilities to your computer.
- Wireless Convenience
- Adding a wireless card to your computer allows for an easier network setup in your home or office. When used in conjunction with a wireless router you can share a broadband Internet connection wirelessly among the computers in your household. You'll even be able to stream media from your computer to your television by adding a wireless media center to your home theatre.
- 54 Mbps Speed
- The 802.11g protocol allows for data rates of up to 54 Mbps when used with other 802.11g devices. The adapter is also fully backwards compatible with the older 11 Mbps 802.11b protocol.
