The APC J10 12 Outlet Power Conditioner with Battery Backup offers excellent value protection for home theater systems. Surge protected outlets keep all components safe from damaging surges, spikes and even lightning. Noise filter banks reduce electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that can harm picture and sound quality. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) keeps voltage levels steady to ensure safe operation during low and high voltage conditions. Battery backup power keeps the home theater on, protects expensive TV bulbs and saves recordings stored on a DVR when the power goes out.
The J10 provides battery backup power to maintain uninterrupted power for the home theater in the event of a power blackout. Battery backup power not only prevents interruptions in your entertainment, it also prevents lost pre-sets, lost information stored on a Digital Video Recorder (DVR), damaged hard drives, and premature projector bulb wear and tear.
Sequenced turn-on and off ensures that connected equipment is powered-up/down in the proper order and with the right amount of delay between the stages. It allows you to program a delay into the sequence between 0 and 10 seconds. This feature helps to eliminate any "popping" sounds coming from speakers when turning on the system. This delay feature also eliminates transients that can affect connected components, e.g. digital projectors.

Comments about APC J10 Home Theater Power Conditioner & Battery Backup:
It does what a UPS should do. Only issue (which I am working with APC Tech Support On) is that you cannot turn off both the front panel LEDs and LCD Display simultaneously. This appears to be a software glitch that hopefully they will resolve. Wouldn't be an issue if the unit was in a cabinet, but since it is in full view, all the illumination is distracting when watching a video in a darkened room.

Comments about APC J10 Home Theater Power Conditioner & Battery Backup:
A few things to note:
It is large; larger than my Yamaha receiver. The power cord is a heavy duty cord and needs a couple of inches to make a ninety degree bend, so including several inches free space behind the unit is a must.
It is heavy; however leaving the battery out until the unit is in place helps.
It gets warm. Adequate ventilation is a must.
All that said, it is doing exactly what I expected it to do.
Very satisfied

Works well, although the setup instructions are a little less than clear (I still can't figure out how to change the default screen, but I can live with that).

I use the product for my home theater equipment. I have only had the power conditioner for three weeks but so far I am impressed with it. APC is a name brand when it comes to power conditioners.

Comments about APC J10 Home Theater Power Conditioner & Battery Backup:
I live in a area where we have numerous power drops,& spikes, at the cost of these Hi Def TV's systems, this is a small price to pay for peace of mind. The APCJ10 has allowed continioue opperation even though we have had a lot of several seconds drop outs. I also use APC for our two computers. I have not found any Cons.
Power switching is so fast that the TV does not even flicker!!
