The APC H15 Power Conditioner will protect your high performance audio and video (A/V) system from damaging power surges, spikes and lightning. Protection is guaranteed. Isolated noise filter banks will eliminate EMI/RFI as a source of audio and video signal degradation. Data-line surge protection jacks will stop surges traveling over phone and modem or DSL lines. Digital Satellite System, Cable Modem, and CATV Coaxial Cable lines are equally protected.
Sequenced turn-on and off ensures that connected equipment is powered-up/down in the proper order and with the right amount of delay between the stages. It allows you to program a delay into the sequence between 0 and 12 seconds. This feature helps to eliminate any "popping" sounds coming from speakers when turning on the system. This delay feature also eliminates transients that can affect connected components, e.g. digital projectors.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
I connected a receiver to the "delayed start" outlet and connected a LCD TV, digital cable box, DVD player, and VCR to the remaining filtered outlets. I have plans to use the second delayed start outlet for a subwoofer I will be adding in the near future. I also feed a coax cable (Comcast) through the unit before terminating at the digital cable box for surge protection. So far this unit is great! It indicates that my line voltage is steady in the 121V-124V range here in south Florida. The dimming feature for the front panel is great because it includes approximately 5 brightness/dimness settings and the backlight can be completely turned off, which is how I prefer to use the unit- it does not need any user attention and can just be ignored during general use of my home theater.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
I use the APC H15 for my 2 channel stereo system which includes, Anthem MCA20 and TLP1, Turntable, DacMagic, laptop and it handles the hungry MCA20 power draw with ease. For the price you can't go wrong and it gives you a little peace of mind to boot. The unit is very attractive and easy to adjust the pretty blue light levels by navigating the settings.[...]

PS3, receiver, blu-ray, matrix, converter boxes, and more are all plugged into this thing. I purchased it to protect equipment and filter out unwanted RF interference.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
Used for protection for a home theater system. Works as advertised. My voltages tend to be high in this area and this keeps the output voltage trimmed to the proper level. Very easy to understand and set up. I have used APC power protection for my computers and it has handled many power outages and spikes with no issue.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
I got this Power Conditioner for a new LCD plus satellite/recorder after reading loads of positive on-line reviews. This device exceeded my expectations. It gives you loads of info (power consumed, voltage, current)and allows for all kinds of settings. Where I live, there are frequent power interruptions as well as spikes and voltage dips so I really need it to protect my equipment. There's nothing I can think of on the negative side except perhaps that it may be overkill if you don't have the electrical problems that I have.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
I live in an old home in a rural area and the power fluctuates quite a bit. This unit was a replacement for a 20 year old conditioner that had started making a very loud transformer buzz. The new unit is silent except for when some relays click to kick in the power boost or something similar. For home theater, I would have expected a silent solid state circuit instead of the mechanical clicking relays. I like how the power conditioner smooths out the power. The large number of outlets is great too. It is great the conditioner shows how much current my systems use.

Relaced an HTS1000 Monster unit with this H15. There was an ever so slight fuzz in the picture before and now its gone. Reconnected old then new again to make sure it was true...yes picture is clearer. I set the voltage to narrow and half of the time it puts it's self into trim, that means it is having to lower the voltage down to get closer to 120 volts. 128 volts corrected to 118 to 122, sounds good to me. You can't go wrong buying this one! I may even buy one for my new front load washer. I here they are full of electronic boards that would cost more than the price of an H15...Can't hurt.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
This unit is at the front end of my home theater system. I was having HDCP/HDMI handshake issues for over 9 months and replaced several pieces of equipment without resolving the issue. I had noticed power sags in our utility line voltage--this works as described. It boosts or trims the incoming voltage as appropriate. I would swear that everything works just a bit crisper including the AV receiver sound processing--but I can say that at least for now, the handshake issues are gone. Regardless, with the ability to monitor input voltage and output voltage, I am secure in knowing that I am getting a stable source of power.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
I purchased the Power Conditoner primarily as a failsafe for my Home Theater, in case of brown outs or suges. The other night, our track lights got a little brighter (they are on a dimmer). I looked at the H15 and the over voltage light was on and it was regulating the 126 volts down to the normal range. I can't help but believe that this will extend my home theater life.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
Earlier this year I lost 2 computer to bad power. Now my expensive A/V equipment is protected like my computers. It keeps the voltage close to 120V. California is likely to experience another year of brown outs thanks to the legislature. I like the different catagories for the plugs in the back. Now I can shutdown all the standby power units..although i wasn't so good for the clock! I have APC units w/AVR for the computers. I am very please and happy I purchased this unit...I would do it again. Dave

This is my first power conditioner, so I have nothing to compare to. It has worked well but I have not had any major power glitches that I know of. It is good that the H15 has an amp meter. I sequentially bring up my amplifiers so that I don't overtax the conditioner as they warm up. So far so good

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
When purchasing expensive computer or audio video equipment, few people give much thought to protecting that equipment. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I can't see spending thousands, and leaving its protection to chance. I've read many reviews of this unit, and they were all glowing. I think it's a better buy than similar Monster units.

Comments about APC H15 Home Theater Power Conditioner:
Normally, I would be content to use a regular power strip surge suppressor for my plasma tv and surround receiver. However I just moved into a house that has noticeably weak power: appliances like the microwave cause the lights to dim. I bought this hoping that it would isolate my equipment from these power sags.
Setting up the H15 was very easy, as I expected. It is pretty heavy and seems solidly built. The outlets are a bit close together, which makes it difficult to use wall wart transformer plugs. Fortunately, only my DSL modem has one of those. The LCD display provides information such as volts, amps, or watts being consumed, incoming voltage and the voltage being output to the components. The phone jacks were slightly misaligned with the sheet metal on the back of the unit, but this is just an appearance issue; the cords are still held securely and my DSL modem works fine through the H15.
I haven't noticed any improvement in picture or sound quality versus my old power strip, but I have been impressed with its voltage regulation. Prior to getting the H15, my Denon reveiver re-booted itself when the central air conditioner turned on. I haven't had to run my AC since getting the H15, but I have noticed it clicking on its voltage regulator when my clothes dryer turns on, or even when workers renovating a house next door turned on their power tools. Strangely, the built in volt meter indicated the voltage was being boosted from 117 to 125 volts, which tells me that it is converting an error of -3 volts to an error of +5 volts.
Overall, I'm happy with the H15. I don't think the noise filtering makes much difference, but I'm impressed with its ability to boost the incoming voltage when it sags.
APC also makes an H10 model with less current handling capacity (12A vs 15A). Considering that my setup (50in Panasonic Plasma, Denon 3808 rcvr driving 7 speakers, Dish sat box, DSL modem) seems to draw between 300 and 750 watts per the H15's built in meter, the H15 is overkill for my setup, and the H10 would have been more than enough for me.
