The APC C10 12 Outlet Power Filter will protect your high performance audio and video (A/V) system from damaging power surges, spikes and lightning. Protection is guaranteed. Isolated noise filter banks will eliminate EMI/RFI as a source of audio and video signal degradation. Data-line surge protection jacks will stop surges traveling over phone and Ethernet lines. Digital Satellite System, Cable Modem, and CATV Coaxial Cable lines are equally protected.
Sequenced turn-on and off ensures that connected equipment is powered-up/down in the proper order and with the right amount of delay between the stages. This feature is pre-programmed with a six second delay. This delay feature eliminates transients that can affect connected components, e.g. digital projectors.

Comments about APC C10 Home Theater Power Filter & Surge Protector - Silver:
I am using this in my HT. While the power at my new house is a lot cleaner than my old house, I was getting a slight periodic distortion in my image. I was already researching a good surge protection solution, and have never been let down my APC, so I figured the noise filter in the C10 might help or at least prevent some problems.
It did get rid of the distortion I was experiencing and seems to have helped with a few audio issues that I had attributed to flaws in my DIY speakers, but have gone away after installing the C10. And living in central Texas, where lightning and thunder storms are prevalent, it gives me some peace of mind to have some heavy duty surge protection.
The only thing I would warn about is the size of the device. I know there are some of you out there that really care about appearance and this might "clash" with the decor. It is almost 2 feet long and 6 inches deep. Mine sits happily in view on my homemade flexi-style tv stand along with the plethora of gear that is plugged into it. It does come with a great mount that allows for both vertical and horizontal mounting, though. So you could get it pretty well out of sight if need be.
Also when the unit is on it puts out alot of blue light, but proper placement could make this a non-issue as well. My HTPC already puts out more light than this, so it is not a problem for me.

Great power filter with a simple, compact design. Better than other more expensive name brands.

Comments about APC C10 Home Theater Power Filter & Surge Protector - Silver:
I purchased this product since it has a life-time warranty --something some manufacturers do not offer. The fact is was made in the USA is a real bonus. B&H had a great price for this item. I hope I never have to find out if it is working as advertised. However, after purchasing a 52" LCD TV I wouldn't think about an inferior product to protect it from the unknown electricity spike or lightning strike. Only con is it's size.(23 x 7 x 3 without wires attachted) I have the room for it so it really isn't a problem.

Comments about APC C10 Home Theater Power Filter & Surge Protector - Silver:
this unit is great at this price,I would have had to settle for less if it wasnt for B&H's great prices, almost half than any where else.this is a sleek looking unit that is packed with features.I like the LED line voltage indication.we were having brown outs during the heatwave on L.I. N.Y.My system was acting funny and I saw the red LED indicating 90v so I shut down my system.I also like the segregated plug banks that tell you where to connect each device because some are delayed power up.It is also very nice looking,so you dont have to hide it.

Comments about APC C10 Home Theater Power Filter & Surge Protector - Silver:
The product has a nice mounting feature that allows it to be accessed seperately from the devices it powers/protects. As of now I haven't had an issue with this device, so I can't speak to how it performs when a surge occurs. This unit allows me to power many devices and the coax/ethernet connections are also very helpful. I'm using this to power/protect my TiVo HD, BDP-S300 and my PDP5080HD and I feel comfortable with this level of protection.
