The Back-UPS RS 1500VA 120V from APC provides power protection and battery backup for home computer systems. The UPS provides surge protection for two connected devices and battery backup for six of them. It yields an average output power capacity of 1500 VAC at 865 watts and the battery lasts up to 12.4 minutes at half-load capacity. APC offers guaranteed protection from surges and spikes with their lifetime $150,000 Equipment Protection Policy. These features make the Back-UPS LS an excellent choice to provide power and battery backup for your home PC.

Battery Backup
The user-replaceable battery provides 12.4 minutes of backup at half-load and 3.7 minutes of backup at full-load. This gives you enough time to safely shut down your computer in the event of a power outage.
Data Line Protection
The surge protector features RJ-11 and RJ-45 surge protection connections that allow you to protect modem and network connections from power surges. This helps to preserve the life of your modem and router and further protect your computer from surges.
Spaced Outlets
The surge protector features 2 spaced outlets that are designed to accommodate devices with large "power brick" AC adapters. This lets you power and protect these devices without sacrificing another plug due to their large size.
Audible Alarms
The surge protector features an audible alarm that lets you know when there is a problem with your power. This helps to make you aware of a power outage or surge.
USB Communication
This UPS features a USB port for computer communication. This communication allows your computer to automatically shut down safely in the event of a power outage.

    We were using two as computer backup and both have worked flawlessly for three years. Weneeded a backup fo the controls on our gas range and decided to try this unit again. After testing with one we own we bought this third unit. It also works great in this application as well. it is reasonably priced and very dependable. The computer interphase is also agreat bonus. We love these units.
