This is a B&H exclusive Lowel Tota-light One-Light Kit with umbrella, 750W bulb, and light stand. Compact, rugged and versatile, the broad-throw Tota-light can be used with its umbrella or gel frame and diffusion as a soft key light, fill light, or backlight. With its adjustable reflectors, it can be a smooth and even background light, or point it at the ceiling to raise the ambient (base) light level of a room. Tota-lights are also widely used for photographic copy work.

When fitted with its EMD 750W bulb, the Tota-light will emit a beam of 41 footcandles, with the barndoors at normal position, and 34 footcandles with the barndoors at 180° position, from a distance of 10 ft (3 m).

Add additional bulbs of your choice of 300W, 500W or 750W. Bulbs for 220-240 volts, and plug adapters are also available.

Got this kit several years ago as my first pro light. The Tota is an excellent light for travel, with the umbrella it produces striking wrap-around light with a very soft quality. The whole kit could be put in my Kata backpack with a camera and audio equipment (light stand attached to the outside), making it perfect for field interviews. The light is well built (as all Lowel lights) and the Impact air-cushioned stand is actually much better than the standard Lowel stand.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

the lamp is bright and tall enough, but pretty flimsy. The knobs started to fall off only 2 weeks in. thats pretty pathetic.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
