Torq Conectiv from M-Audio is a complete package for the computer based DJ that includes Torq performance software and the Conectiv USB computer interface.
The software supports multiple digital audio formats, including MP3s, which negates having to cart around a heavy box of vinyl records or CDs. All the usual functions required for DJ work are supported within the software.
The Conectiv USB interface is very flexible in that it can function as use as a self-contained digital system, multi-effects processor, or as a slave from control CDs/vinyl. The inputs connect to all standard DJ mixers, turntables and CD players and even allows for mixing analog vinyl sources with digital tracks.
The Torq Conectiv Vinyl/CD Control Pack includes the Torq Control Vinyl disc, that allows a DJ to control audio files in the Torq software with the same feel and response as real vinyl records. By connecting a turntable to the Conectiv interface and enabling external control in Torq, the performer is able to cue and scratch, just as if they were using the original records.
The Torq Control CD functions in a similar manner, but uses instead a DJ CD player. Both methods provide fast response and bi-directional positioning, ensures that Torq precisely tracks the control discs for easy beat-juggling.

TORQ CONECTIV, THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT, IT GET THE JOB DONE, AND IT IS EASY TO USED,I ALSO USE ABLETON 8 LIVE, I WAS ABLE TO USE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME, WHILE MY DRUMS PLAYING ON ABLETON, using the master tempo control in ableton to control both, amazing, I love it, and I used almost everyday

this product is excellent!! if you are a beginner you will see that the interface is dummy proof. ive used all dj software and for the money m-audio has put out a great product! only 2 minor things i think they should upgrade.. 1. is to have the sampler on both channels.. 2. is to make the browser screen where you search for songs larger..make sure you have the recommended computer specs or it will stop or hesitate on you!!!!

Had this for 2 years.

Great program. Easy assigning of button mapping. Simple outline, with skin options for themes and stuff.
What i love is you can use any VST plug in and use it while playing. I play house, electro, progressive and minimal which makes it great since i hook up a 25 key controller to jazz up breaks and stuff. I CAN PLAY the piano while spinning through my plug in! i can pump up my bass-lines and jazz up my weak sounding songs LIVE! all because i can use VST plugins

The hardware is made of plastic. Mine has several cracks due to mishandling i guess. (They should have made the case aluminum)
The software is kinda unstable, software freezes and hangs over time.
Ive had numerous gigs where the music just died on me because of audio dropouts (an external adapter fixed this issue)
16bit output vs 24bit on my audio 8 is simply too noticeable when you pump it out 2000 watt speakers
I loved my conectiv! will buy it again if the hardware is built better and the program is more reliable. Well if you come to think of it with the price, you simply get what you pay for.

I use this product on the road. Its really cool that you can split the 2 decks, cue the next song to play. I am yet to buy my turntables but its assuring to know that they could also be hooked to my connective. Great piece designed by M-Audio
