The LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protector Set is a set of three tripod leg covers, which are made of closed-cell foam padding and heavy-duty neoprene. They are soft to the touch but rugged in function. The padding guards your hands from the cold tripod legs in lower temperatures, and can protect the tripod from minor nicks and scratches. Made with "hook & loop" fasteners for easy assembly.

Finished in simple black, ideal for everyday use. Also available in camouflage patterns for different seasons and habitats .

The covers come in a set of three, sized specifically for your Gitzo 1227, 1297, 1220, 1257 & Bogen/Manfrotto 055MF3 tripod.

Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):

The leg protectors fit a little loose on my 055MF3 and don't cover the ends of the foam padding. The covers are made of neoprene so they could stretch a long way. In this installation they are not stretched at all. I think I'll cut an inch or so off and re-sew the velcro back on so they will fit better. For the money, you're better off making your own.

Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):

These are great for protecting tripod legs and allow you to carry your gear over your shoulder. I've been using them for several weeks now with both my large format camera and my digital camera. The pads make handling the tripod in cold weather easier.

Lens coat does it again with this great system for protecting your tripod legs and your shoulder.
A carbon fiber tripod may appear very light. Add a good ball head and camera with heavy lens and you have something that ways mightily on your shoulder.
The padded lenscoat tripod leg protectors work wonderfully.
