Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):
Good thick padding. Removable and cleanable. 2 inches too short for Gitzo XLS tripod. I would suggest a fitted kit that will cover all the Carbon Fiber portion of the legs, if the tripod is expected to encounter heavy impacts. For normal use this will work fine.

Great construction, light wieght, need to size the inner padding better around the legs, about a half inch gap on foam.... Love the velcro...

Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):
this is a pretty simple product. Basically foam tubes with fabric jackets that fit on the upper leg sections of your tripod for protection and padding for more comfortable carrying. They fit well, attach securely and look great. What more could you want? I'll be using this along with my tripod in the Alaska bush so it will go "through the wringer" so to speak. It looks to me like these "leggings" are up to the job.

Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):
To be honest, I didn't buy these to protect the tripod, but to protect my shoulder. Works great for carrying a tripod with an attached camera/lens combo. The padding is a relief from the weight.

Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):
I was a little surprised that these leg pads were so thick. It kind of messes up the beauty of my new Gitzo. However, I do appreciate the pad thickness after I have carried my tripod on my shoulders all day on a long hike.

Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):
These covers are not exactly what I expected ... for reasons that aren't clear I expected the covers to be high density foam that would adhere to the legset. Instead, they are foam core with a separate cloth cover that velcros over the foam and is attached to the foam by an elastic band. On the inside of the foam core there is a covered adhesive strip that you can peel to make the foam stay firm in place. Unfortunately the cloth cover leaves the foam core exposed at the ends so it has a somewhat less than professional look which I found disappointing. So, while it will be nice to have the padding when carrying the tripod fully loaded with leveling head and Wimberley head and camera and lens, I think the covers could have been tailored just a little better. A pretty good product none-the-less at a reasonable price.

Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):
The LegCoat go on easily and fit great. The padding is not to thick to be cumbersome and does a great job when I rest it on my shoulder. Makes lugging around my 500 a breeze.

Comments about LensCoat LegCoat Tripod Leg Protectors (Black):
The Leg Coat is looser than what I expected. It easily slides up and down the leg sometimes interfering with access to tripod functions. The neoprene socks tend to creep off the pads as well. I expected a better product for the money spent.
