The Vixen Optics A80Mf is an excellent recommendation for beginners; a light, well-made optical tube specially configured to work with all video and photo tripods. It is ideal for both terrestrial and celestial applications (an optional 45° erect image diagonal enhances land viewing). The A80Mf offers the same quality glass and workmanship that Vixen optics incorporates into their larger instruments. As an achromatic refractor optical design, it is capable of rendering high resolution planetary, lunar, and deep-sky visual images. The scope's focuser barrel directly accepts SLR cameras when combined with a camera-specific T-mount.
