The Horseman 180mm f/5.6 Apo-Symmar L Lens is a Schneider 180mm f/5.6 Apo-Symmar L with a standard Copal #1 shutter, but built into a Horseman-specific helical focusing mount and barrel assembly made to fit upon their SW617 Professional medium format panoramic camera. It provides a normal perspective on the 617 Professional, roughly equivalent in focal length to the hypotenuse of this unique format. The minimum focusing distance of 14.8' (4.5m) upon the 617. A built-in lens guard helps protect the sensitive optics.
The Schneider 180mm f/5.6 is a modern issue of the standard 6-element/4-group style large format lenses, with the very best of modern coatings and particularly improved performance at apertures which would normally be used exclusively for viewing purposes.
