International Orders*The Horseman 250mm f/5.6 Tele-Xenar Lens is a Schneider 250mm f/5.6 Tele-Xenar with a standard Copal #1 shutter, but built into a Horseman-specific helical focusing mount and barrel assembly made to fit upon their SW617 Professional medium format panoramic camera. It provides a mildly compressed telephoto perspective on the 617 Professional, roughly equivalent to the view of a 60mm lens in 35mm terms. A built-in lens guard helps protect the sensitive optics.
The Schneider Tele-Xenar is a modern issue of a staple of large format lenses, the telephoto design. These essentially are larger, shorter focal length lenses with a rear element that acts much like a teleconverter would with SLR cameras, allowing them relatively compact dimensions for their long focal lengths. The Tele-Xenar has Schneider's best modern lens coatings and provides excellent contrast and resolution in a broad range of applications.
